Om Mani Padme Hum is the most famous mantra in Tibetan Buddhism, generally translated as "Hail to the jewel in the lotus." It is the six-syllable invocation of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the Bodhisattva of Compassion, and embodies the ultimate union of compassion and wisdom.

Om: Represents the practitioner's impure body, speech, and mind, as well as the pure body, speech, and mind of a Buddha.
